じゃあひとつ見てみようか・・・と、ニースからバスに乗りました。
マントンはニースの東、イタリアとの国境にほど近い街です。
ちなみにバスでは２時間弱かかりますが、なんと1.5ユーロで移動できちゃううえに、沿線の眺望がとてもよいのでお勧めできます！セレブの国モナコも通ります。

Menton is east of Nice, it's 2 hour from Nice and costs just 1.5euro by bus!
You'll see so beautiful view from bus and it passes through Monaco.
で、マントンの街で見つけたレモンの木はこれ１本。
私がレモンのないところばかり歩いてたんでしょうか。３時間くらい歩き回っていたのですけれどねえ。
And I found ONLY ONE lemon tree.

レモンの街じゃないじゃん・・・と思った私の印象を覆した事件。
宿に戻る前、果物が食べたくて道ばたの果物屋でマンダリンオレンジを買いました。
というか買おうとして、手に取った瞬間の衝撃！指先に伝わる新鮮さ、みずみずしさ！
硬めの皮はつるりとむけ、中からはしなやかで弾力ある果肉が出てきました。
その甘さ、あふれる果汁・・・とれたての美味しさ、とても言葉になりません。
